Space Collector

Privacy

Last updated 16 October 2026

The short version: your location is used to work out your sky. There are no accounts. Your collection stays on your phone and in your own phone backup (iCloud or Android). There are no ads, no tracking and no selling of data.

Your location

Space Collector needs to know roughly where you are to show what's in your sky. It asks for your approximate location only, and works it out on your phone. To do that it shares a rounded position (about 1 km) with:

You can choose a place by hand instead in Settings, and the app works without your location at all (it shows an example sky).

Your collection

Your cards, sightings, patches and progress are stored on your phone. Each sighting records the time, what you saw and where you were standing, because that's part of the card.

There's no sign-up and no account. On iPhone your collection is also kept in your own iCloud (Apple's iCloud key-value storage), so it comes back if you reinstall the app and matches on your iPad. On Android, the phone's own backup to your Google account restores it on a new phone. We can't see either copy.

Notifications

Reminders and alerts are scheduled on your phone. Nothing about them is sent to us.

Purchases

Space Collector Plus is sold through the App Store or Google Play. We don't see your payment details.

What we don't do

Deleting your data

We don't hold any of your data, so there's nothing to delete on our side. Settings → Reset everything in the app deletes your collection from the phone and from your iCloud backup. Deleting the app removes what's stored on the phone.

Children

Space Collector is made for everyone, including families stargazing together. There are no accounts, and we don't collect personal information from anyone, children included.
